Absolutely. Our online throw pillow cover collection is just a sampling of the hundreds of handcrafted pillow options possible with our in-studio fabric collection. In our Greensboro studio you can shop all fabric, trim, throw pillow, pillow cover, and pillow insert options that we have along with coordinating colorful throw blankets. The majority of what we have in-studio is not listed online at all.

Why the selective online inventory? We're a custom pillow maker and fabric strategist, not a warehouse. Exceptional fabric selection and thoughtful design for our clients takes priority over rushing to list everything online—we're growing intentionally and prioritizing quality over
quantity, in-studio and online alike.

Seeing your space in person allows us to better understand the aesthetic you want and your existing furnishings so we can recommend how to incorporate additional colors, mix patterns, and vary textures.

Yes! Many of our clients live outside the immediate area. If you’re in driving
distance or visit Greensboro or the Triad area occasionally, we can meet in person and then continue the process remotely with swatches and photos.

We also offer virtual fabric and design consults and ship custom throw pillows and smaller home furnishings nationwide, so no matter where your home is, we can help. Larger items—window treatments, oversized seat cushions for built-in spaces—are available for local pickup. We'll confirm what's feasible for your specific project when we connect.

Cut yardage is available for most in-stock fabrics. Some limited-availability or special-order materials are not available by the yard.

In-studio shopping and fabric consultations are by appointment and provide individual focused attention. Before pulling fabric, trim, or throw pillows for you, we ask about your space, how it's used, and what's already there—the kind of questions a retail fabric or home décor store typically doesn't ask.

Outdoor and performance fabrics are both durable and stain-resistant, but they’re engineered for different uses:

Outdoor fabrics (like Sunbrella and InsideOut by Thibaut) are made to resist fading, mildew, and moisture. They can be used both indoors and outdoors, making them a versatile option for high-traffic or family-friendly spaces.

Performance fabrics (like Crypton) are for indoor use only. They offer powerful resistance to stains, spills, and wear—perfect for everyday living, kids, and pets—but are not made to withstand the elements like outdoor materials.

We’re happy to help you select the right option based on how and where your materials will be used, and the aesthetic you're going for.

Check the manufacturer’s specifications to see if a fabric has stain-resistance features and a high double rub count—if it does then it should be able to handle everyday life with kids and pets.

Performance fabrics provide resistance to stains, moisture, and odors, plus antimicrobial properties. Indoor-outdoor fabrics provide similar characteristics plus UV protection so they are fade-resistant. Many of today's performance and indoor-outdoor materials come in surprisingly soft textures and sophisticated patterns, so you don't have to sacrifice style for durability. We evaluate fabric performance based on your intended use, specific durability needs and lifestyle requirements—kids, pets, daily use patterns, and sun exposure—not just how it looks on the bolt.

We understand the growing demand for sustainable, non-toxic manufacturing and eco-friendly performance materials that are certified safe (OEKO-TEX), hypoallergenic, and ethically produced. Crypton and Sunbrella are two of our favorite options for combating spills, pet hair, and wear while still providing the comfortable feel you want.

We'll evaluate your fabric's suitability, calculate the yardage you'll need, and let you know what's possible before we begin fabrication.

It depends on where and how your throw pillows will be used—hand-feel, fiber content, weight, drape, and durability all matter. Everyday throw pillows on sofas need stain-resistance and durability, pillows near sunny windows need fade-resistance, and decorative pieces in low-traffic spaces can showcase more delicate luxury textiles. We direct you to specific performance options—like Sunbrella, Thibaut InsideOut, or Crypton—based on your particular situation.

They're not interchangeable. Curtains need good drape—soft, fluid folds rather than stiff or limp material—while upholstered pieces and seat cushions face constant friction, so durability (double rub counts) and stain-resistance matter most. Using curtain-weight fabric on a dining chair, or upholstery-weight fabric on drapery panels, rarely gives the result you want.

Yes—our throw pillows and pillow covers are made-to-order, and most can be made in other sizes and shapes. This includes custom bolster pillows and long lumbar pillows, available with either a fiber or feather insert (sold separately) and intended as accent pillows for beds, benches, and sofas—not as support or yoga bolsters. Bolster pillows add structure, dimension, and a designer touch, whether styled with other pillows or used as a standalone piece. Oversized long lumbar pillows make a statement on sofas, sectionals, and beds of all sizes.

The right throw pillow insert depends on personal preference and how the pillow will be used. We love the relaxed feel of feather down or synthetic down alternative inserts—here's a quick overview:

• • 95/5 Feather Down: Soft, supportive, and ideal for decorative pillows. Great for the "karate chop" look. Indoor use only.
  
  
• • Synthetic Down Alternative (Faux Down): Hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, washable, and our preferred insert. Offers the same weight and softness as feather down—without the possibility of feathers poking through. Holds the "karate chop" look beautifully.
  
  
• • Outdoor Inserts: Made for indoor-outdoor use, water-resistant, and non-allergenic.  Use on covered patios and porches.

We recommend generously filled inserts sized 2–4 inches larger than your pillow cover for a plump, supportive feel and designer look.

Flat or lumpy pillows are usually caused by low-quality inserts or incorrect sizing. Poly-fill inserts, for example, are stiff, can't hold the iconic karate chop shape, tend to get lumpy, and don’t fill the corners of pillow covers well.

For a full, luxurious look, choose feather down or synthetic down alternative inserts (see details on insert types above) sized 2–4 inches larger than your pillow cover.

Our throw pillows and pillow covers are individually made-to-order, and our lead time is typically 1-3 weeks. Lead time and turn-around time fluctuates with order volume.

Your confirmation email will provide a production time estimate and/or notification of any circumstances that could lead to longer lead times for your order.

If additional fabric or trim yardage must be sourced for your order, this may delay shipment of your order as some manufacturers have long lead times.

We offer three options for throw pillows depending on how much customization you want:

1. Shop Our Made-to-Order Throw Pillow Collection: When you shop our online designer throw pillow collection or schedule a visit to our Greensboro studio, you can purchase options exactly as shown.

2. Customize Our Designs (Semi-Custom): Start with a pillow from our collection and modify it—different fabric on the back, adjusted sizing, coordinated piping. If you opt to Customize Our Pillow Designs, then longer turn-around times are to be anticipated.

3. Fully Custom: For Custom Throw Pillows Made with Your Fabric or Ours, you can Schedule Discovery Meeting to browse our in-studio fabric collection, Request a Quote, or Get in Touch to discuss your project. Fabrication typically begins within 1-3 weeks of all materials being received in our Greensboro studio. Most custom throw pillows take 2-4 weeks from final approval to completion—for example, a three-pillow or five-pillow combination typically takes 2-3 weeks. We'll provide a specific timeline with your quote.

We ship throw pillows and smaller home furnishings nationwide. Larger items, like window treatments and built-in seat cushions, are available for local pickup at our Greensboro studio only.

All orders that are not picked up at our Greensboro studio ship via USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground. For details on our shipping options & order fulfilment timing please go to Order Fulfillment & Shipping.

If you opt for shipping then once your throw pillow cover(s) are made and we have shipped your order, you will receive an email with tracking information. Delivery to continental U.S. addresses takes approximately 2-5 business days.

Definitely! You can choose local pickup at our Greensboro studio. We’ll email you when your online order is ready and coordinate a convenient pickup time. The exact studio address is provided when your pickup appointment is scheduled.

Most fabrication begins within 1-3 weeks of final design approval and receiving your deposit and all materials (including Customer's Own Material: COM and any materials we source for you) in our Greensboro studio. Actual timing depends on current workload and material availability. We'll include a timeline with your quote.

Once your online throw pillow order is placed, we may immediately begin cutting the material necessary for your order. Throw pillows in our online collection are custom cut and made-to-order.

For online pillow insert orders:

We do NOT accept order cancellations.

We do NOT accept changes to orders once they are submitted.

Once your online pillow insert order is placed, we may immediately place the
order with our supplier or begin preparing your inserts for shipping—so changes or cancellations aren't possible after that point.

If you realize you’ve made a mistake, Get in Touch as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes if production hasn’t started.

If you want to customize a throw pillow shown in our online collection (or in our in-studio collection) then your request is no longer a standard online order (or in-studio purchase); it is a custom throw pillow. You will receive a quote and a Client Agreement that includes Changes to Your Project Before Fabrication Begins section that details our cancellation and change policy for custom projects. We're happy to discuss adjustments to your project before materials are ordered and fabrication begins.  Changes to materials or design and construction specifications may affect pricing and timeline.

Given the final sale nature of nearly all home décor materials, changes to
materials—fabric, trim, pillow inserts, foam, batting, drapery lining, zippers,
and other components—cannot be made once materials are ordered. If during our in-studio inspection, we find that materials are not suitable for your project for any reason, we will notify you immediately.

Once fabrication begins, we're unable to accept changes to materials, design, or construction specifications.

All throw pillows and handcrafted home furnishings are custom cut and made-to-order for each client.

Discounts and promotions are shared with our email and text subscribers.
