We recommend filling each of your handcrafted Melissa Creech Designs pillow covers with pillow inserts that are 2 to 4 inches larger than the pillow cover. 

If the pillow insert is too big the pillow is stiff, unyielding, and over-stuffed looking. And, if the pillow insert is too small the pillow is saggy, unsupportive, and skimpy looking.

How much “give” a pillow insert has depends on the type and quality of filling. Feather down inserts and really well-made synthetic down alternative inserts have the most “give” and fill pillow cover corners fully. 

The type of insert depends on the desired look you are trying to achieve and the usage of your pillow. There are numerous options available for the type of insert you can choose. However, not all pillow inserts are suitable for all uses and environments and they certainly are NOT all created equally. We recommend buying the highest quality pillow insert that is within your budget.
