95/5 Feather Down Throw Pillow Insert

Why It’s in Our Collection

Feather down is the traditional designer choice for throw pillow inserts. While synthetic down alternative is our preference, many clients still choose feather down for its light weight, which makes pillows easy to fluff and reposition. We stock a 95/5 blend with a generous fill, so pillows look full rather than flat, and a thick 100% cotton shell keeps feathers from working through your pillow covers. Because it’s spot clean only and contains feathers, it’s best for indoor throw pillows in living rooms and bedrooms. For people with allergies or for use on covered porches, we recommend our synthetic down alternative insert instead.

  • • Care: Spot clean only; shell is not removable. For extra fluffiness, place in a no-heat dryer cycle with a tennis ball for several minutes.

Pillow inserts typically ship in 1-2 weeks. Pillow inserts and throw pillow covers may ship separately. 

For pillow inserts ordered with semi-custom or fully custom throw pillow covers, we often hold off on shipping inserts until the throw pillow covers are made so that we can assess fit and sizing—especially important for unique dimensions. When you Customize Our Pillow Designs, your semi-custom throw pillows will typically be ready in 2-4 weeks from when the design modifications are approved. The timeline for Custom Throw Pillows Made with Your Fabric or Ours is similar. Customer's Own Material (COM) projects and projects requiring sourced materials begin timing once we receive everything in our studio.
