We offer one-on-one throw pillow styling sessions by appointment at our Greensboro studio—hands-on designer advice on pillow sizing, fabric selection, and how to arrange throw pillows to work well for both comfort and your décor. With us, you're shopping with our pillow designer—someone who understands how materials actually perform from 20+ years of making thousands of throw pillows and other soft home furnishings. In addition to knowing how to mix fabrics and layer patterns and textures, we know what choices clients are still grateful for years later.

We encourage clients to use throw pillows as a way to try colors, patterns, and different fabric types. If a material works well for you in pillows, then consider it or something similar for a duvet cover, blackout curtains, seat cushions, or an upholstered piece. Many personal shopping clients arrive with a particular pillow or fabric need and leave with a clearer vision for that project as well as ideas for what comes next in that space or even in another space.

Understanding your options in the planning stage is key if your yardage is limited for any reason—as is the case for remnants, many seconds (second-quality fabrics), discontinued materials, or fabric
that is not re-orderable due to prohibitive cost or high minimum order requirements.

PRO TIP:

Home décor fabrics at discount retailers or online clearance sales are often simply discontinued patterns or overstock—not seconds. Always verify quality level and ask about return policies before buying.

Fabric quality evaluation matters regardless of material type—first-quality yardage, remnants, and seconds all require assessment. First-quality fabrics can have imperfections missed during quality control or damage from transit. We evaluate all materials before fabrication begins.

The more context you provide, the more useful our time together will be. That said, don't let an incomplete list stop you from scheduling—many clients arrive with just photos and questions and leave with a designer-selected throw pillow combination that fits their furniture and blends with their existing décor.
